Our Functional Blood Test Health Check helps you gain an understanding of where your health is at and what you need to work on. Whilst traditional blood test laboratory analysis will simply compare a blood marker level against a large ‘normal’ range or ‘outside normal’ range, the Functional Blood tests are looking for any deviations from optimal ranges. Furthermore, multiple blood markers are put through computer algorithms to assess the chances of particular body systems being dysfunctional. This way, imbalances can be addressed before they become physical problems, and even very healthy people can make further adjustments to optimise their health and wellness.
An important part of this kind of testing is the highly detailed Functional Health Report. Rather than leaving you with potential problems to worry about, the report will suggest ways to rectify any imbalances and where necessary, recommend further testing.

The Remedios Health Functional Health Check package includes a half-hour telephone on-boarding Consultation and a one-hour telephone Consultation post blood results to review. Your Certified Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis Practitioner and experienced Health & Wellness Coach at Remedios Health will give you further insight and discuss ways to take positive health action.
Total Biomarkers: 78 Including Total Blood Count (TBC), Liver, Gallbladder, Kidney & Thyroid Function Markers, Blood Lipids, Blood Iron Markers, HbA1C and Blood Sugar Markers, some Minerals and Vitamin D3 levels.
Please note that this test requires a blood draw (phlebotomy) and for the blood to be centrifuged. The reason for the centrifuging is that this achieves the most reliable results. We can help you locate a suitable place to get your blood drawn and centrifuged. You will be responsible for organising and paying for the blood draw and returning the samples via Royal Mail Special Delivery to the laboratory. Full secure packaging and instructions will be provided. Results arrive in approximately 3 weeks. This test is not a substitute for visiting your GP regarding a health issue.
Your Functional Blood Test Health Report
The sophisticated interpretative software provides a complete algorithmic analysis of your blood test findings. Even if you are not familiar with biomarkers, this analysis goes beyond the numbers that indicate the initial changes in the body's functionality and finds subtle patterns. This information will be used to give advice on environment and any changes needed to diet and lifestyle to help make health improvements.
How it Works
Your blood test results are arranged and interpreted in a unique way by the FDX Functional Health Report. The report focuses on your body’s systems and nutrient levels. It can identify any trends towards clinical dysfunction. This test can be used alongside Remedios Health Consultations to help you meet your health and wellness objectives. Depending on the test you take, you will receive a report of health results that ranges from 50 to 75 pages.
Blood Test Assessment
- The results of the algorithmic trend analysis are presented in this section, which serves as the core of the FDX Health Report. The analysis of each of your body's systems is displayed in the Body Systems Report along with corresponding test results.
- The condition of 14 nutrients, 7 auxiliary systems, 7 macronutrient systems and 13 body systems are determined.
- The Nutrient Systems Report will show if you are deficient in certain nutrients as well as your overall nutritional status.
- The Health Improvement Plan, which focuses on the most pressing areas of need, summarises all of the data from the Assessment portion of the report.
Blood Test Analysis
- The findings of your blood test are displayed to you in the Analysis section. Your blood test results are given in the Blood Test Results Report, which also indicates whether any particular biomarkers are outside of the Clinical Laboratory Range or the Optimal Range.
- If you have had previous tests, the changes are acknowledged and analysed.
- A report called Deviation from Optimal is created, indicating which markers are the furthest away from optimum and in which direction.

WHICH FUNCTIONAL BLOOD TEST IS FOR YOU?
